Sanine Beck, Director
With a degree in Elementary Education, Sanine taught upper elementary
for several years in Southern California, before moving back to the
Midwest where she grew up. Prior to opening Little Learners Preschool
and Academy, Sanine was the Director of another preschool in Lincoln.
When she and her husband, Curt, adopted their son, Jeremiah, in 2007,
Sanine resigned as the Director and stayed home that first year with
their son, who was just entering kindergarten. Soon after, God called
the Beck Family to open up Little Learners. Now in its 4th year, the
preschool continues to grow and develop. God is certainly at the helm
of Little Learners Preschool and Academy!
Natalie Lyman, Assistant Director and Academy Teacher
Natalie teaches one of the MWF a.m. Academy Classes, and is also the
Assistant Director. Natalie graduated from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Education and Human
Sciences, with a concentration in Child, Youth & Family Studies.
Outside of
work, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend of 2 years, Tim. She
also loves to
travel, go shopping with her mom, going to the movies, and playing
outside with her nephew. Another fun fact about Natalie is that she's
obsessed with Oreo cookies. She could literally eat a whole bag if she
was dared
to! Natalie loves to laugh and have
a good time with her friends and family.
Kaytlin Seeger, Academy Teacher
Kaytlin teaches Academy Classes Monday through Friday morning, and also
teaches the MWF afternoon class. A graduate from UNL in Education and
Human Sciences, Kaytlin brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to Little
Learners. Her students adore her! She has lived in Lincoln most
of her life with her mom, dad, little brother Jameson, and older sister
Amanda.
On August 14th, 2011, Kaytlin married a wonderful man named Bob.
Together, Kaytlin and Bob have a red fish,
Henry, and 14 year old dog named Jake. She enjoys reading, going on
bike rides,
watching movies, and much more!
Diana Tyshkun, Preschool Teacher
Diana teaches the MWF a.m. Preschool Class and one of the T/Th Preschool Classes. Diana is Ukrainian
and comes from a big family of 13. Ever since she could
remember, she always wanted to be a teacher. She is currently
attending Southeast Community College to finish her degree in education.
Diana believes that working with children is a blessing from God, and
she wants to put that blessing to good use!
Megan Weber, Preschool Teacher
Megan teaches one of the T/TH a.m. Preschool Classes. She is a
sophomore this fall, attending the University of
Nebraska Lincoln. Her major is in Dietetics and she has two minors,
which are
Sociology and Child, Youth, and Family Development. Megan has had
several years of experience working with children, both paid and
volunteer. Megan was homeschooled 1st - 8th grade. She enjoys playing
sports and
going to watch sporting events in college. She is an active member of
Campus Crusaders for Christ. She is also a mentor to incoming freshmen
for her scholarship learning community this year. Megan has a passion
for doing her best in the new experiences God
puts in her life.
Molly Smith, Terrific Two's and Early Three's Teacher
Molly
is the new
Terrific Two's and Early Three's Teacher at Little Learners. She is a
graduate of UNL, with a degree in Family Science. Molly just got married
to her
husband, Quenton, in July of 2011. They love spending time outdoors and
hanging out
with their families. Quenton and Molly hope to add a puppy to their
family sometime this
year! She loves watching football and other sports on TV. Molly has
traveled to London, Paris, Italy, Mexico, Canada,
the Bahamas and Africa. While in Tanzania, Africa, she lived in an
orphanage for 3 months volunteering and helping with the children! We
are so excited to have Molly join the Little Learners team!
Sarah Howsden, Substitute and Extended Care Teacher
Sarah has been with Little Learners for three years now, teaching the
Terrific Two's and Early Three's Class. She did an excellent job in
that position and was fundamental in helping develop the program. As
this is her last semester at UNL, there was no more flexibility in her
class schedule that would allow Sarah to continue teaching on T/Th
mornings at Little Learners. She will be greatly missed by her
students. But Sarah will continue her employment at Little Learners as a
regular substitute teacher when her class schedule allows, as well as
an Extended Care teacher on some afternoons.
